we are beyond thrilled to announce that two of our first-time entries into this prestigious competition were awarded GOLD medals! Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon/Tannat blend brought home the GOLD as did our 2018 Truth Juice v.1.5. In addition Truth Juice was named a Reserve Class Champion AND a Reserve Texas Class Champion!
While we can’t all be gold medal winners, we are just as proud to announce our SILVER medal winners at an international competition featuring 3,528 entries from over 1,100 wineries world-wide! And the winners are: 2017 Blue Moon Tannat, 2017 Malbec/Merlot and our flagship 2015 Ruby-Eyed Red (Garrison Bro’s. barrel aged).
2016 Texas Tempranillo (Newsom Vineyards) won a coveted GOLD medal at the 2018-19 Texas International Wine Competition!
We are very proud that three of our wines were awarded SILVER medals at the Texas International Wine Competition: 2015 Ruby-Eyed Red, 2015 Cactus Dodger Red and 2017 Dog Days Rose.
TEXSOM International Wine Awards are prominently known for the competition’s ability to differentiate quality and offer judging consistency year-on-year. TEXSOM IWA is well-regarded as among the the most selective competitions in the industry. The high level of their judges, their broad experience and global perspective, leads to a more selective, and more meaningful, medal distribution. From our perspective, this validates our belief that any medal received at TEXSOM IWA is a high accomplishment. We are proud that our 2016 Texas Tempranillo and 2015 Cactus Dodger Red were awarded SILVER medals at this prestigious competition.
